I have lived and worked in York County PA for most of my life. During that time I sold five and bought six personal residences, including the home I now own, and worked with stellar Realtors every time. After many years in the accounting profession, I decided to join the ranks of real estate professionals at Howard Hanna in Shrewsbury PA. Real estate is actually a lot like accounting, but with people involved - much more fun!  It's a natural fit: I love crunching numbers, minding all the details, juggling multiple tasks at once, negotiating and finalizing contracts, meeting deadlines and coping with surprises. But most of all, I like working with people like you to buy and sell real estate during these challenging times. 



After graduating from York Catholic High School, I earned a BS degree in accounting from York College of Pennsylvania. Then I had a long career as a CPA in corporate finance. I first worked for a "Big Four" accounting firm and then for several large multinational corporations, including two that were formerly headquartered in York PA. If you've ever owned stock and looked at a company's annual report or SEC filings, that's the sort of thing I worked on. After retirement I was a small business owner, helping people manage their personal budgeting and day-to-day money management. Since then I've had several part time jobs, most recently working as a tipstaff in the York County Court of Common Pleas. I also serve as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer for children in the foster system.

I'm always on look out for new things to try! My hobbies include beekeeping, gardening, piano, painting, knitting, crochet, and Mah Jongg. I am active in my church and keep busy in my spare time with my three grandchildren, two dogs, and an occasional road trip vacation. My two Vizsla dogs are named Rhett and Scarlett, and my home is named Twelve Oaks. This might give you a clue to my favorite book and movie of all time, "Gone With The Wind." 



My favorite part of being a Realtor is getting to know people beyond a hello and a handshake. I have met and worked with many dozens of people already, and I make more contacts every day. I look forward to meeting you! I consider the connections I've made to be true treasures of this real estate journey; but, the smiles on the faces of buyers and sellers at the settlement table are the biggest treasures of all.
